Chapter 13. Throaty Consonants
There are five consonant sounds that are produced in the throat: [h] [k] [g] [ng] [er]. Because R can be considered a consonant, its sound is included here. For pronunciation purposes, however,
elsewhere this book treats it as a semivowel.
